Credentials

Clyde Ikeda, M.D., F.A.C.S. received his undergraduate degree with honors from S.U.N.Y. Binghamton, New York, in 1973. He received his medical degree from New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York in 1979, followed by general surgery training at St. Vincent's Hospital, New York, New York in 1983. From 1983-1986, Dr. Ikeda took his plastic surgery training at the Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco. He is a board-certified plastic surgeon, has practiced cosmetic aesthetic plastic surgery since 1983, and has been in private practice since 1986.

He was the Chairman of the Education Committee and has been active in teaching plastic surgery at St. Francis Memorial Hospital and continues to teach cosmetic surgery to U.C.S.F. plastic surgery residents. He has published, been featured in videos, and has been interviewed on television concerning many different topics relating to plastic surgery. He is on staff of California Pacific Medical Center, St. Lukes Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, and St. Francis Memorial Hospital, all located in San Francisco, CA.

Dr. Ikeda is a member of the American Board of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, California Society of Plastic Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Ikeda is a Board Member and has led many teams of doctors to help children with birth defects with Hospital de La Familia, a charitable organization, in Guatemala for the last 16 years.
